Inherent Fiberglass Flame Resistance
Tai-fun's fabric is bonded in a single four-layer lamination, and its most critical layer is the fiberglass at the core.
Fiberglass is the same material as glass inherently non-flammable and dimensionally stable, holding its shape beyond 1000°C
By contrast, the common polyester on the market begins to deform at just over 200°C. This layer gives Tai-fun's fiberglass fabric for industrial use its built-in flame-retardant performance
But Fiberglass Is Stiff as Steel Wire
Fireproofing is easy; “fireproof and flat” is the hard part. Fiberglass has almost no elasticity it's as stiff as steel wire.
Once most factories laminate it into a fabric, the slightest variation in speed or tension pulls wrinkles across the surface.
“The moment others add fiberglass, they give up.” That's the reality of this industry.

In one continuous four-layer lamination, every yard of PVC laminated fiberglass fabric achieves both a four-layer bond and a wrinkle-free finish at once which is why projection screens, Japanese partners, and large-scale architectural facades all specify Tai-fun.
